The official inauguration of the New Quality pilot project is undoubtetly the project's most visible success. The residential building was completed in June 2010 and is the first of the series of Young Cities pilot projects to be completed. Since 2011 the building serves as basis for monitoring energy consumption and resource efficiency, the results of which will be used as reference for the remaining pilot buildings. For more information see New Quality Building.
Tarh-e Tafsili
The implementation of the Shahre Javan pilot settlement was prepared in a three-year research process that culminated when the so-called "Detailed Plan" (or Tarh-e Tafsili) that regulates building on the site was officially passed by the Iranian authorities. The document evolved out of what is common practice in the Iranian "Detailed Plan" and the German "Bebauungsplan".
