Decision - Making - Meetings in Berlin April 13th - 17th, 2009

A high-ranking Iranian delegation held joint meetings at TU Berlin to decide upon crucial aspects within the Strategic Project Dimensions Urban Development & Design as well as Design Structure Energy-Efficiency. The delegation comprised Prof. Dr. Fatemi Aghda (President of BHRC), Eng. Farjami (Deputy Minister, MHUD), Eng. ZakerAlHosseini (CEO of NTDC), Dr. Parhizkar (Vice President of BHRC), Dr. Kari, and Eng. Zamani (both BHRC).

Decisions taken mainly related to the 35 ha Area Urban Concept elaborated in lead-management of the Strategic Dimension Urban Development & Design (Prof. Pahl-Weber) and the New Generation Pilot Projects in lead-management of the Strategic Dimension Design Structure Energy (Prof. Dr. Rückert). The meetings also included talks on awareness raising, environmental assessment, landscape planning and project evaluation issues as well as excursions to the Berlin tram network management center in Lichtenberg and to residential projects in Berlin-Weißensee. The Project delegation has also been received by TU Berlin President Prof. Dr. K. Kutzler.

Prof. Kutzler and Prof. Fatemi Aghda renewed the Cooperation Contract between both institutions from 2004 for another five years and discussed potential future cooperation especially in the field of PhD level exchange.
